"Took this photo during the summer of 2010. If I were asked what I remember about Mount Aso, it'd be: 1) Soft Serve Ice-Cream: Using milk from swiss cows farmed in the village of Ubuyama. Silky and rich in flavour. I remember I had three of those within the span of 20 minutes; 2) Unforgiving Sun: Was blazing hot, I wondered how animals (like the horse in this pic) could survive such immense heat, not to mention the location itself is a volcano (eurpted in 2016); 3) Smell of Sulfur: The yellowish bubbling sulfur and its repugnant smell. Smelled like someone had eaten too many eggs last evening; 4) Speeding through the Mountains: Driving at 70km/h through the zigzag mountain roads while my friends were asleep was priceless. One of them yelled and woke everyone up: "Wayne! Slow down, and don't fall asleep! You'll get us all killed! I'll get you more iced-coffee at our next convenience store stop..." Everyone was stunned and looked out our windows - when they found that they haven't arrived at the destination, they all fell back to sleep in just 2 min. I still recall we were blasting some 90's J-Pop (L'Arc-en-Ciel, I think). Reckless times."
